Carolyn Wirth

Ms. Wirth’s work has been exhibited nationally and locally. Her two most recent solo shows were at the Kingston Gallery in Boston and the 80 Washington Square East Galleries in New York. She has received commissions for both small-scale and public sculpture. Among her many commissions is a life sized bronze figure and landscape arrangement for the grounds of the Melrose Public Library in Melrose, Mass.

Ms. Wirth’s work deals with the figure, in a literal sense and also as a reference in her abstract and anthropomorphic work. She enjoys exploring new media and new ways of dealing with space. Her most important goal is to find the media, and scale, that best convey each individual idea.
