Kim and Jon here at SteelGirl.com strive to bring the strange and twisted to the light of day. It just so happens that most of our friends happen to fit into this category.
This page is dedicated to Jason Price, Jon's old roommate from the Nashville days. A Master piercer currently at 3D Body Art in Corpus Christi Texas, Jason, and his partner Richard are currently in the process of setting the world record for longest distance traveled while suspended. "What's that?" you ask. Very basically put, he has a trained professional pierce him in multiple places over his entire body, then "hangs" suspended from the piercing so that the whole of his weight is carried by the piercing. Four eight-gauge shark hooks will hold his 160 lbs. His co-hanger is doing a 6 point suspension right next to Jason - ouch. They have built a customized trailer with windows on both sides and a set of special harnesses to hold them during the trip. From the flesh, the hooks go to ropes, then to large springs much like "door return type" springs which are attached to the ceiling of the trailer. Each "hanger", as I like to call them, will also have a bondage type harness on to keep them from swinging to much during travel. These will support NO weight at all. As for the itinerary, the crew will pull out of Corpus Christi on the morning of the 17th and try for a straight shot to the Orlando Guinness World Records headquarters, and then move on to the hard rock cafe in Miami Florida.

Hello I am Jason price and on the 16 Th. of august my colleague
Richard Nunez and I are suspending for 24+hours. We are leaving Corpus Christi, Texas and
heading too Miami, Florida. We will end our journey at the hard rock cafe in Miami. I am
going for a world record for the longest distance
traveled while flesh hanging. I feel I am a pro and I have been in the bodyart
industry for 10+years. I just want to say that my partner Richard and I have looked at
every aspect of this suspension record .we know, no one has ever recorded this kind of
suspension for the Guinness world records. We have the first traveling flesh hanging
[suspension] trailer. If you live in Orlando we will be arriving at the Guinness world
record museum in Orlando on the 18 Th. of august@ 11 or 12 noon, 4 .5 hours later in Miami

Texas.

The end result of the trip was, Jason and Richard hung for a little over an hour while moving in the trailer Richard actually hung for about an extra 1/2 hour prior to leaving the start point. more soon ~jon~

it turns out Ripley's believe it or not: the TV show has decided they want to get jason on camra doing what he does best - hang from shark hooks- we hope to be along for the ride and will keep you posted ~jon~
